The long version
Depreciation did what marketing could not and turned the F-Type R into an accessible used buy, which brought in a second wave of owners who never paid Jaguar's original sticker and treat the car accordingly — driven for the exhaust note on a warm evening, garaged the rest of the week rather than fussed over. The warranty-window flip pattern from the first owners is well documented and largely why the bargain window exists at all. What is left is a genuinely quick supercharged V8 GT selling on looks and sound to buyers who mostly got a deal and know it.
