Tracking an EV means solving a problem the gas cars on this list never had to — battery thermal management between sessions, charging logistics at the paddock — and the owners who bought a Turbo GT specifically to do that are a self-selecting group willing to plan a track day around a charger instead of a fuel truck. That is a small population, but it shows up disproportionately compared to every other performance EV here, which is the whole story in miniature. Porsche built a Ring-record grocery-getter and found, against expectation, buyers who wanted the record more than the groceries.
