Lamborghini Huracán Evo Spyder

3.3 / 10
Involvement 7.0 / 10

Why 3.3: The Huracán's rental-fleet-and-flip economy, minus the roof and minus some of the coupe's track credibility. Spyder buyers skew further toward boulevard use and content creation than coupe buyers do — fewer STO-style committed drivers, more top-down cruising.

Sound

Roof down, the 5.2 V10 sits directly behind your head and pulls to 8,500 with nothing boosting or muffling it. But the Evo runs the standard exhaust rather than the Performante's lightweight system — the softest way to hear this engine, which is still a very good way.

The long version

Exotic rental fleets favor the Spyder specifically for its Instagram value, which means a disproportionate share of Huracán Evo Spyder miles come from short rental loops rather than owner use — inflating the model's driven-mileage numbers without reflecting any real ownership commitment. Among actual buyers, the convertible top and added chassis reinforcement over the coupe trade some track capability for open-air cruising, and the buyer pool follows that trade: fewer of the track-day regulars who gravitate to the Performante or Tecnica, more owners who want the V10 soundtrack with the roof down on a Saturday. Flip cycles run similarly short to the coupe's, twelve-to-eighteen-month holds being common as owners rotate into whatever Sant'Agata releases next. The naturally aspirated V10 remains a genuine highlight — one of the last screaming NA V10s in production — but it's in service to a car that mostly gets seen, not driven hard.
