Why 7.8: Hyundai Motor Group designed a bespoke 270 kW rear motor that spins to 21,000 rpm for this car, then fitted a drift mode and neon-green calipers so you could tell. 3.5 seconds to 100 km/h and 260 km/h flat out, for roughly a third of what Germany was charging.

Sound

Kia's Active Sound Design offers a selectable synthetic tone that at least tracks throttle and speed in its sportiest setting. It is a generic layer rather than anything composed for this car, and switching it off leaves motor whine, so there is nothing here to rate.

Rear seatsStandard

Two ISOFIX positions on the outer rear seats, the outer pair being the ones the standard covers.

Front passenger seatVaries

The rear anchors are the supported route — the manual points child seats there, and front-passenger ISOFIX is the exception rather than the rule. A belt-mounted seat up front needs the airbag off, and cars with a rear row don't always fit a deactivation switch, precisely because the rear seats exist.

Derived from production years and seating layout, not a per-car source. ISOFIX was standardised as ISO 13216 in 1997, required on new EU model types from 2011 and on all new EU cars from 2014.

The long version

The EV6 GT is the point where the E-GMP platform stopped being a range-and-charging story. The rear motor is a clean-sheet unit rather than a tuned version of the standard one, the front axle can be effectively unhooked in GT mode, and the drift mode is a real calibration rather than a screen graphic. What matters more for this index is the price it launched at: around sixty thousand dollars put a 577 hp car in front of buyers who were only ever going to own one, so it gets used as a family car during the week and as the fast one at the weekend. That shows up as genuine annual mileage and an almost total absence of speculation — there is no such thing as a stored EV6 GT. The compromises are the ones every heavy fast EV has: brakes that want a firm early push, a chassis that grips rather than talks, and a range figure that evaporates the moment you use what you paid for. Values have fallen with the rest of the 2022 EV cohort, which currently makes this one of the cheapest ways to be genuinely, stupidly quick.
