Ford Mustang Mach-E GT
Why 8.0: 480 hp and 860 Nm in Performance Edition trim, MagneRide dampers, red Brembo calipers, 3.5 seconds to 60 mph, and a badge that consumed more column inches than any of it. Built in Cuautitlán, sold in real volume, discounted hard, and driven accordingly.

Sound
The Unbridled propulsion sound is deliberately authored from torque and speed data — a starship whir with a V8-ish thrum beneath it. But it is chasing a noise this car cannot make, and most owners switch it off. Below the Taycan's honest composition.

Child seats · ISOFIX
Two ISOFIX positions on the outer rear seats, the outer pair being the ones the standard covers.
The rear anchors are the supported route — the manual points child seats there, and front-passenger ISOFIX is the exception rather than the rule. A belt-mounted seat up front needs the airbag off, and cars with a rear row don't always fit a deactivation switch, precisely because the rear seats exist.
Derived from production years and seating layout, not a per-car source. ISOFIX was standardised as ISO 13216 in 1997, required on new EU model types from 2011 and on all new EU cars from 2014.
The long version
Ford spent 2019 to 2021 absorbing an enormous amount of anger about the name and then quietly built a good electric crossover. The GT adds a bigger front motor, MagneRide magnetorheological dampers on the Performance Edition, and enough torque to embarrass the V8 car it was accused of insulting. Where it earns its place here is what happened next: heavy factory discounting and a collapsed lease market pushed used prices down far enough that the Mach-E GT stopped being anybody's investment and became transport, which is the most reliable way to score well on this site. These cars carry families, cover real annual distance, and turn up on the used market with the mileage to prove it. The failings are honest ones — a front axle that pushes when you lean on it, a driving position that never lets you forget the height, and a range figure that the GT's own performance punishes. It is a Mustang in the way a Mustang II was a Mustang, which is to say: argue about it after you have driven one across a state.
