BMW M3 (G80)
Reference — shown, never scored
Why 7.0: The grille argument never stopped; the cars got driven anyway. Manual take rate healthy, wagons and sedans doing family duty at speed — the M3 brief, intact.

The long version
The internet spent two years arguing about the grille while actual buyers quietly optioned three pedals in respectable numbers and used the car as intended — a sedan that turns school-run duty into a back-road blast without anyone noticing the switch. Values have slid steadily since launch, ordinary depreciation for a car that isn't being hoarded, which is itself a sign of health: nobody's protecting a G80 as an investment, they're driving it down in value the normal way. The styling debate turned out to be noise; the ownership pattern underneath it is the most conventional story on this list.
