BMW iM3 (Neue Klasse)
Why no score yet: M claims the quad-motor control stack turns torque into an instrument. Prototypes impress the press; the score waits to see whether iM3s commute or hunt apexes.
The long version
BMW already ran this experiment once with the i4 M50 — a genuinely quick EV wearing a hot badge that ended up dailied constantly and enjoyed rarely, because silence and instant torque don't automatically translate into a car people seek out a canyon for. The iM3 is the more serious attempt, four motors doing real torque-vectoring work instead of just badge-engineering a fast sedan, and early press cars are reportedly convincing. Whether that turns into owners hunting apexes instead of just beating traffic off the line is the open question; until Neue Klasse cars exist in driveways there's no ownership pattern to score.
